Nabila Salma Shehu is a Nigerian technology entrepreneur building companies focused on financial inclusion, digital infrastructure, and innovation across Africa.

She is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of RewaPay, a Nigerian fintech company developing accessible digital banking products designed to simplify payments for underserved communities. The platform combines mobile banking, agent banking, voice banking in Nigerian languages, USSD services, and merchant solutions with the goal of making financial services more accessible across the country.

Nabila is also the Founder of ArewaTechFest (Arewa Tech Fest – The Lagos Exchange), one of Africa’s leading technology and innovation platforms. Arewa Tech Fest – The Lagos Exchange brings together founders, investors, policymakers, developers, corporate leaders, and young innovators to accelerate collaboration, showcase breakthrough ideas, and shape the future of technology across the continent.

Beyond fintech, she leads Rewa Technologies Group, the parent company behind multiple technology ventures spanning financial technology, commerce, logistics, and digital products. Her work is driven by a commitment to building globally competitive African companies that solve real problems through technology and innovation.

Before transitioning fully into entrepreneurship, Nabila built a distinguished career in media as a respected writer and media maven. She contributed opinion articles and feature stories to leading publications, including The Guardian, among other respected national media outlets. Her work explored governance, entrepreneurship, public policy, women’s empowerment, and social development.

Her journalism and thought leadership led to collaborations with BBC Africa, and she has been featured in interviews with international broadcasters including BBC and Voice of America (VOA), where she shared insights on technology, leadership, entrepreneurship, and issues shaping Africa.

Nabila is also the creator and former host of The Salma Show, a television programme that aired on DSTV and became known for conversations around leadership, governance, entrepreneurship, and the experiences of Northern Nigerian women. Through her work in television and journalism, she established herself as one of Northern Nigeria’s most recognizable media voices before moving full-time into technology and entrepreneurship.

As an entrepreneur, her interests extend beyond fintech into digital infrastructure, venture building, innovation ecosystems, and emerging technologies.
